About Michael Spencer Woodworking
When I was younger, I would help my dad build decks and additions. I knew I was a hands-on type of person from this young age because I loved building. What I loved most was seeing that I could design things then build them with my own hands.
Later, I took a class to learn how to make chess sets, and from there I fell in love with beautiful woods and the art of fine woodworking. I then took more classes at Connecticut Valley School of Woodworking with Professional Woodworkers known nationwide. The more I learned, the more excited I became to read everything I could on woodworking and to create my own pieces.
I admire antiques for their strong joinery and timeless designs. One of my desires as a craftsman is that my pieces will last generations. Thus, I have great admiration for the traditional woodworking techniques. [Read More]
